Sheriff's office reports nine recent arrests

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office reported nine recent bookings into the parish jail.
Arrested were the following persons:
•Justin Derrick Clark, 32, 1731 Clark’s Landing Road, Ville Platte, was charged June 24, with failure to appear in court. Clark was released from jail on a $1,500 bond.
•James Van Kirk Miller, 38, 130 Barcelona Road, Lafayette, was charged June 24, with theft. Miller was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Bertrand Hall Jr., 37, 130 Barbra Lane, Mamou, was charged June 24, with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless operation, driving under revocation/suspension, switched license plate and failure to secure registration. Hall was released from jail on a $2,651.50 bond.
•Tevin Shawn King, 23. 1098 Lake Cove Road, Ville Platte, was charged June 24, with resisting an officer, theft, simple criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing. King was being held in jail on a $26,500 bond at press time.
•Ashley Naquain, 27, 1224 Sixth St., Pine Prairie, was charged June 24, with criminal trespassing. Naquain was being held in jail on a $1,000 bond at press time.
•Christopher Sims Williams, 48, 712 Second St., Mamou, was charged June 26, with domestic abuse battery. Williams was released from jail on a $5,000 bond.
•Mindy Castille, 26, 330 Enola St., Ville Platte, was charged June 27, with failure to appear in court. Castille was released from jail on a $750 bond.
•Francheska Fontenot, 21, 5726 Thomas St., Chataignier, was charged June 27, with theft and forgery. Fontenot was released from jail on a $15,000 bond.
•Charles Dewayne Smith Jr., 24, 712 Second St., Mamou, was charged June 28, with simple criminal damage to property. Smith was released from jail on a $7,500 bond.
