JERRY LEE DUPRE

VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian Burial for Jerry L. Dupre, 77, was held Monday, June 20 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Rite of Committal followed in the Evangeline Memorial Park with Father Matthew Bazare as Celebrant.
Dupre, a resident of Ville Platte, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016 at his residence in Ville Platte.
Dupre was a member of the Sheriff Posse for 58 years, and a member of the Louisiana Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred Association. He was also a member of the Evangeline Parish Cattlemen’s Association.
Dupre will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 ½ years, Jeanette F. Dupre of Ville Platte; his children, Kerry Dupre and wife, Jeanne and Cynthia “Cindy” Dupre Young all of Ville Platte; three grandchildren, Callie Young Vidrine and husband, Bret, Jenna Cay Young Stoma and husband, Tre, and Sarah E. Dupre; five great-grandchildren, Catherine, Dominic and Joseph Vidrine and Olivia and Rose Stoma.
He will now reunite in Heaven with his parents, Hillry and Ethel Dupre and one grandchild, Jessica Nicole Young. They surely await his arrival with open arms and joyous hearts.
