The 2017 Louisiana Tournoi Youth Pageant will be held Saturday, September 9, at the Ville Platte North Side Civic Center beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Properties with tall grass that are infested with snakes and rats was the main topic of discussion at last week’s monthly meeting of the Pine Prairie Village Council.

It has been a tremendous run for Pine Prairie native Julia Johnson.
The upcoming college freshman (technically a sophomore) has enjoyed a tremendous last three years on the golf course, playing in some of the most prestigious tournaments throughout the country.

Patterson – Breaking with the Tour du Teche tradition of mostly looong kayak and canoe races, the Lower Atchafalaya River Sprint on Saturday, Sept. 9, will be a set of six-mile races with starts and finishes within view of spectators at Morey Park in Patterson.
